Alastar returns home from a holiday in China. Alastar got away to think through pitching his next project, but he is secretly setting up contacts to build the fusion reactor if anything happens to him.
Two news articles catch his attention while waiting for a plane. The first, a village freezes to death over night and it seems significant to him. Then secondly, an astronaut comes home from space.
His power is challenged on the plane with a dispute over seats. Everyone dismisses his needs and ignores him, he makes a call to his work and the issue is quickly resolved, His work has control over fuel prices.
Alastar has a great power over others, but is also a slave to the company.
